In the end of the eighties Susy became a mother, of course with a fitting wardrobe. After that she has often appeared with her baby, Love and Care and Susy and Baby just to mention a couple. In the late 90s Susy turn into a young woman in her mid twentieth without any kids. Susys previous daughter now appeares in a serie of her own, called Baby World. The fashion doll Susy originally comes from the Danish company KE Mathiasen Toys. Creation & distributions Ltd took over production in 1993.

Susy is the first mass-produced fashion doll that portray a religious custom that is very popular in Sweden. Religion has been taboo in the world of fashion dolls until 1993. Susy is making history with Santa Lucia. The Susy doll represented the core family and did so throughout the 90s. It was common for Susy to come together with her children in the packaging, such as Susy & Baby, Baby Sitting, and Winter Holiday, to name a few. However, her husband Mike had to be bought separately.
